Handmade is better. Who knows it better than Minimal Indian creating pure magic with its minimal, handmade and hand-painted collection of ceramics and stoneware reflecting back at a time of simplicity and authenticity. Remembering the stories of forgotten afternoons in mom’s kitchen, cherishing that last piece of cake, plants and old bottles forever occupying space on the window sill, pressed flowers tucked away inside an old book, things that make a house a home. That’s where this Indian brand draws its inspiration from - travel stories, local crafts & cultures, landscapes and simple details of Indian households.
Adrita brings along her 14 years of experience in the Indian fashion industry, from apparel design to marketing and working with the Indian handloom sector. Her simplistic design sensibilities and eternal love for ceramics and textiles pushed her to start her voyage into ceramics with Minimal Indian, founded in the year 2019. It was born out of her desire to celebrate handmade artisanal products and the art of minimalism.
The brand combines an old-world charm and the ‘less is more’ philosophy with just the right amount of slowness. It is made for those who consciously choose artisanal products and appreciate a simplistic design language. All patterns are originally hand-drawn and hand-painted on paper followed by various pattern mixing experiments and glaze combinations to compliment different shapes of the ceramics.
