Born in 1960, Buwa Shete graduated in Applied Arts from Abhinav Kala, Pune, in 1983. After graduation, he honed his skills as a creative director and illustrator in advertising, all while passionately pursuing painting. His calendar paintings on “Philosophy by Various Saints” earned him the prestigious London Advertising Award.
Buwa Shete art approach is a bold flirtation with color and size, turning everyday themes like “Father and Child” and “Mother and Child,” as well as depictions of priests and turbaned village men, into vibrant, modernist masterpieces.
