DOT is reviving Indian crafts by transforming them into unique wearables. The label is distinguished in their experiments with structural weaving. The fabrics are woven by hand.
Started by a creative duo of college pals, Daizy Tanwar and Tapushi Pal, their fascination with the fashion industry ignited their enthusiasm to delve into clothing. Little did they know that their graduation project and their work experience within the industry will spark translative ideas for them to initiate their own label. DOT came into being in the spring of 2016.
They translate the ideals of simple living by using an array of colours inspired by nature coupled with natural hand-woven fabrics and traditional craftsmanship, with a focus on cuts, alignments and textures while weaving stories that are minimalistic yet powerful. Their drapes exude feminine flairs, pastel hues, dreamy silhouettes and immense sophistication. The subtle embroidery with a hint of vintage and a clean and not so contemporary aesthetic is what encompasses DOT.
