Translate-Handwoven Ikat, launched in 2012 is a concept apparel and home textile label in India with a primary focus on reviving the glorious and age-old craft of Ikat. They employ skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques to transform the traditional handcrafted textile to comfortable timeless clothing for these post-modern times.

Co-founded by the entrepreneur duo Vinita and Vickas along with textile revivalist Chandrasekhar, the thread that weaves them all together is their shared love and passion for handwoven textiles, art and culture. Their design stories are inspired from studying the intangible human heritage and bringing out the best from each of the hands involved at their studio which is enroute to becoming a completely zero wastage unit.

RETURNS and EXCHANGES

Please review our Returns & Exchange policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order with Canvas & Weaves, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

NON-RETURNABLE & NON-EXCHANGEABLE ITEMS

1. A) We do not allow returns or exchanges for the following brands: Chola, Rajiramniq, Akaaro, Shades of India, Studio Medium, Suparna Som, Nirjara, Indian Summer Story, Marche, Maison Shefali, Paulmi & Harsh, Moborr, Juanita, Myoho, Mac Duggal
2. B) Products explicitly marked as “NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN OR EXCHANGE" in the product description.
3. C) Sale items are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
4. D) Customised orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
5. E) Items purchased using credit notes or gift vouchers.

RETURN & EXCHANGE PROCESS

Eligible items must be returned within 7 days of receipt. To initiate a return or exchange, email us at hello@canvasandweaves.com. We reserve the right to decline excessive or unreasonable return requests.

RETURN CONDITIONS

• Items must be unworn, with original tags and packaging intact.
• The buyer must arrange and pay for return shipping. 

REFUNDS

Once a return is approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method. Refunds may take 7 to 14 business days to reflect, depending on your financial institution. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

PRODUCT QUALITY & HANDCRAFTED NATURE

Our products undergo thorough quality checks. Variations in colour, texture, or weave are inherent to handcrafted items and should not be considered defects. Please read product descriptions carefully before purchase.

CUSTOMS & DUTIES

For international orders, any applicable customs and duties are the responsibility of the customer upon arrival.

• As curators working with artisan-centric brands, our handcrafted products undergo rigorous quality checks. However, since the garments are made using natural processes like natural dyes and handwoven fabrics, it may lead to irregularities, highlighting the uniqueness of each piece. Please review product descriptions carefully; these irregularities are not defects but distinctive features celebrating the handmade nature of our items.

REFUND

After approving your qualifying return, Canvas & Weaves will credit your original payment method. Please note that it may take 7 to 14 business days, depending on your financial institution, for the refund to reflect in your bank or credit card account.

CUSTOMS & DUTIES

For all international deliveries, customs and duties will have to be paid on arrival by the customer, if applicable.
